Welcome to Women’s Ministries!
You may be asking, “What is Women’s Ministries?” Simply put, it is women ministering to other women in any situation, at any opportunity. Women’s Ministries, or “WM’s”, has been functioning at Bridgeview for many, many years. This group began as a means of ministering to missionaries and has evolved into so much more. Our goal now is to share the transforming love and power of Jesus Christ with women in our church and in our communities by:
Building relationships with other women
Reaching women outside of the church walls
Uniting in prayer for a move of God in our lives
Supporting women spiritually and emotionally
Helping women grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ
Understanding each woman’s individual needs
Persevering to improve our individual relationship with God
If we daily ”BRUSHUP” on these things we will be able to accomplish much for the kingdom of God.
Here at Bridgeview the WM’s have been very busy over the years. We have women ministering in nearly all areas of the church, on serving committees, teaching Bible studies, ministering with intercessory prayer and many other things. We have provided many activities and events for the ladies such as:
- Monthly business/planning meetings for the officers and advisors;
- Quarterly All Hands Planning Meeting, where all ladies are invited to attend;
- Serving committees - we need all the helping hands we can get; it's also a good way to get to know other ladies;
- Special Events – Fall Retreat, Mini Retreat, Spring Banquet, Ladies Night Out, Creative Friendzy, etc;
- "Women to Women" - Shut-in Ministry;
- "Daughters of the King" - Mentoring Ministry;
- "Home Front Ministry" - supporting our deployed troops and their families;
- Wednesday night and Thursday morning Bible study
There are many opportunities to be involved in Women's Ministry, either as one ministering or as one receiving ministry. We have all been given talents to be used in ministering to others. join us as we serve the Lord and grow together as sisters in faith.
If there are no programs in the area of ministry that intrests you - step out in faith and start one! God doesn't need someone who is experienced; He neds someone who is willing.
